Our History
Start
1971
Farmás Grecia 1
We inaugurated Farmacia Grecia under the direction of Dr. Hannia Salas, with the purpose of providing people with personalized attention, quality, and fair prices.
1973
Farmás Naranjo
We opened our second pharmacy in Naranjo, entering a new market eager for professional service.
1997
Farmás Sarchí
Dr. Jose Fabio opened the doors of Farmacia Sarchí, the first pharmacy to offer quality service in that canton.
1998
Farmás Grecia 2
Dr. Jose Fabio founded Farmacia Grecia 2 with the goal of serving a growing clientele, the result of his effort and dedication.
2000
Farmás Poás
We inaugurated Farmacia Poás, consolidating our regional presence with our fifth pharmacy. This milestone coincided with the turn of the century and our expanding network.
2003
We developed the Farmás brand and its visual identity to give the Group a cohesive image.
2006
Farmás Grecia Hospital
We founded Farmacia Grecia Hospital in a modern building with ample parking.
2009
Farmás Grecia El Parque
We opened the doors of Farmacia Grecia El Parque, reaffirming our commitment to high-quality services across Grecia, Sarchí, Naranjo, and Poás.
Our growth stems from experience, knowledge, and discipline, making us the largest pharmacy group in the Western region of Costa Rica.
2021
50 Years of Farmás Grecia 1
We celebrated 50 years since opening our first pharmacy — accompanying stories, caring for families, and growing alongside our community in Grecia.
2023
50 Years of Farmás Naranjo
We reached half a century of Farmás Naranjo, bringing wellbeing with the same closeness and professionalism as always.
2025
Farmás Puente de Piedra
We opened the doors of a new pharmacy in Puente de Piedra to continue being closer to our customers and providing them with the service that defines us.
